Nicole Richie and Sofia Richie have a lot extra in common than their last identify; they are each type icons. But the query is: Are they sisters?

Everyone is aware of Nicole Richie and Sofia Richie have a lot extra in common than simply their last name — the stars are both type icons in their very own proper, finally. But is it just a coincidence that they have the same final title? Or are the stars similar in some way?

Are Nicole Richie and Sofia Richie sisters?

Nicole and Sofia happen to share the same dad, Lionel Richie — this means that, yes, they are sisters.

Nicole was once adopted by way of the musician father and his first spouse, Brenda Harvey. Meanwhile, Sofia is Lionel's biological kid with his second wife, Diane Alexander. (Lionel and Diane also have a son named Miles.)

Their father is a well-known musician. Lionel joined the Mystics, a funk and rhythm-and-blues staff, which  later changed its identify to Commodores, with Lionel being the a lead singer. The group's hit songs come with "Three Times a Lady" and "Still," and its upward push to popularity led Lionel to pursue a solo occupation. Sofia's godfather was the overdue singer Michael Jackson.

Nicole had no recommendation to provide to Sofia for her first 'Keeping Up With the Kardashian' cameo.

Sofia is not into reality TV and she shared with Marie Claire that she does not wish to document her life.  

"I've never done traditional reality," she explained throughout the May 2020 interview. "Even Simple Life, it was a 28-day or 30-day trip. And it was me leaving L.A. and living in someone else's life. I've never opened the doors to my own [life]."

According to Marie Claire, Sofia's sister, Nicole, had no recommendation for her. "She's an adult," Nicole mentioned. "She can handle anything she wants to do."

Sofia made her first look at the reality show right through a spring damage travel to Finland with Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian in an episode that aired October 2019. A supply advised E! News that, Sofia "has become friends with all of them now." (Although in late May 2020, Sofia and Scott reportedly known as it quits after relationship for three years. So that may have really well changed.)

The two sisters are both type professionals.

Nicole and Sofia each know a thing or two about designing clothes. Nicole has House of Harlow, a 1960 jewellery and sunglasses line, and Sofia has the Sofia Richie x Missguided collaboration, a 60-piece range of clothes items that is best for any instance, in conjunction with a swimwear collection with Frankies Bikinis. 

Nicole used to be fearful about Sofia while she was dating Scott Disick.

Lionel used to be fearful about Sofia and Scott's relationship and this put a pressure in Sofia's relationships together with her father and sister. A source told Us Weekly that ,“Nicole and Sofia have been spending more time in combination since Sofia began spending much less time with Scott. Nicole has always been a rock for Sofia.” 

Nicole “by no means totally supported” Sofia’s courting and “desires the most productive and healthiest outcome” for her sister.
