Are Akinyi and Ben Still Together from '90 Day Fiancé'? An update on their relationship after the display, and their adventure in combination.

Nothing is ever simple on TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Many of the couples featured at the show met online and soon discover that looking to forge a connection in-person all the time proves to be tough. 

Akinyi Obala met when Benjamin Taylor and expanded his geographic horizons on a dating app. The two hit it off, and Benjamin used to be prepared to commute the world over to satisfy Akinyi and ask for her hand in marriage in Kenya.

Akinyi's family and Ben's issues for his younger son briefly gave the pair an uphill combat in their dating. 

So, are Benjamin and Akinyi still together from 90 Day Fiancé? What we know about their dating lately and their struggles from the show.

Are Benjamin and Akinyi still together?

After a tricky divorce, Benjamin began on-line dating in his home state of Arizona. But, he wasn't thrilled with the loss of romantic prospects in his space, so he expanded his relationship profile so there was no distance barrier. He met Akinyi online, who lived in Nairobi. She made the primary transfer, and Benjamin was utterly flattered that she used to be interested.

Benjamin did concern about how a new marriage would impact his young son, Grayson, and there were delicate moments at the show when Benjamin mentioned how his child was once his biggest priority. He made the journey to Kenya, and it used to be quickly clear that his son could be simply one of many roadblocks in their relationship.

Benjamin quickly realized that he was the primary guy Akinyi had introduced house prior to, and he was once somewhat most likely the first white guy to ever discuss with her village. He additionally used to be made aware that he'd have to supply her father a bride worth to be able to be given approval to marry Akinyi.

He was candid about how he wasn't flush with money, and paying the bride worth could be a subject matter if her father demanded a large sum.

The couple's current relationship status has been saved private, and the two have no longer shared couples footage on each in their Instagram pages. 

According to Soap Dirt, Benjamin did follow to get Akinyi a K-1 visa to trip to the U.S. in April.  This is a long-term commitment, and is under no circumstances to be taken lightly, so if Benjamin did search this visa, it's most likely that the two are still in a dating. Of route, we've got but to look if the couple has taken further steps in their courting.

Benjamin's ex-wife spoke out about him showing at the display.

Akinyi voiced her concerns about changing into a stepmother on the display, and Benjamin's ex sounded off. Hanekawa Dravon is Grayson's mom and Benjamin's ex-wife, and she detailed how she wanted a possible stepmother to be introduced to her son.

"No one just becomes a step-parent. By marriage, technically yes, you are a step-parent if your spouse has a child from a previous relationship. But by NO MEANS does that mean you have that level of a relationship with that child from day one," she wrote on Instagram.

"When my current partner met my son, he met him as a friend. He got to know him and grow to understand what he meant to him. My son is smart and he told ME that my partner was his step dad. (I’m sure confirmed through school family tree building)," she persevered. 

"Im deeply concerned when someone pushes a person into a role they are not prepared for mentally. If he wants this relationship to work he will let her guide that pace. Let her get acclimated with a new country and life before shoving the role of stepmom on her. Just my 5 cents," she concluded.

Hanekawa hasn't commented additional on her ex's look at the display, but it is transparent that she also has their son's best interests in mind. 

90 Day Fiancé airs on Sundays at Eight P.M. on TLC.
