Remember the bed and breakfast that 'Sister Wives' famous person Meri Brown purchased in 2017? Does she still own it, or is the bed and breakfast closed?
Despite her husband Kody’s initial apprehension, Meri Brown used to be able to secure the cash to open her own bed and breakfast in December 2017.

Meri took to Instagram to thank fanatics for their words of convenience and improve after the Sister Wives episode that includes her mother's demise aired on TLC. In the process, she shared that she has no goal of ultimate the bed and breakfast.
She wrote, "I only hope to carry that spirit with me as I continue with future plans for the b&b, making everyone who enters feel welcome, loved, special, and worthy, just like my mom would have done."
Lizzie's Heritage Inn closed briefly at the starting of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In May 2020, Meri Brown announced that she could be final the doorways of her Utah-based bed and breakfast because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a long Instagram post, Meri detailed why she decided to shut down the industry despite her relatives’s ongoing financial troubles.
Meri shared, “Over the previous weeks and months all the way through the current pandemic, I've kept a detailed eye on Utah pointers for commute recommendations and conceivable restrictions for closures in the hospitality trade.”
“At this time as things appear to be loosening up slightly, I've been hanging some deep thought into find out how to transfer forward with the B&B," she continued. "In the interest and safety of my staff, particularly my sweet mom who so graciously and lovingly welcomes all our visitors on a daily basis, in addition to the native southern Utah neighborhood, we will not be accepting any bookings until additional realize. We also are now not conducting ANY tours at this time."
Although things looked grim for Lizzie’s at the start of the pandemic, two months after the inn’s closure, Meri announced that her bed and breakfast was open for business once again.
She wrote on Instagram, “You've been asking, and I'm excited to finally announce that my B&B Lizzie’s Heritage Inn is re-opening (with restrictions) as of Tuesday, July 7! Please be sure to check out www.lizziesheritageinn.com for all the [guidelines] and policies as we continue to do our part to limit the spread of COVID-19, and to make your travel reservations.”
Meri added, “So whether you're visiting for a quick stay-cation, or need a homey night's stay as you travel across [the] country, welcome! We're so excited to once again open our doors to you!”
The inn closed again after Meri Brown’s mother, Bonnie Ahlstrom, died.
On March 27, 2021, Bonnie Ahlstrom, Meri Brown’s mother, who spent her final years working as an innkeeper at Lizzie’s, died at 76. Meri did not disclose the details or cause of her mother’s death.
The Sister Wives star wrote on Instagram, “She left us suddenly, unexpected[ly], and extremely way too soon and I literally don't know how I'm going to do the rest of my life without her.”
"You are liked, you're overlooked, and I know you are so glad celebrating on the different aspect with dad, hugging your daughter and son who left us too soon, reuniting along with your oldsters, and getting to grasp your dad," she wrote. "Love all of them, hug all of them, and be at liberty. Or quite, just proceed filling that area around you with the gentle that you always do. I really like you Mom! March 9, 1945 — March 26, 2021," Meri concluded.
However, the bed and breakfast re-opened in June 2021.
Meri's bed and breakfast closed for a period of time following Bonnie's death — but as of June 2021, it was back open for business!
"After being closed for two months since the passing of my candy mother, these days we welcome our first visitors to the B&B and are back open for industry," the Sisters Wives star wrote via Instagram in early June.
Meri continued, "I'm apprehensive about doing this, she had it so dialed in and knew the drill. Yet, I'm excited to as soon as once more share the historical past and great thing about this house and the spirit inside its walls."
