TikToker Elyse Myers and Her Husband Share Two Kids, August and Oliver

In 2021, TikToker Elyse Myers took the world by hurricane with a hilarious and someway relatable worst-date tale through which she purchased 100 tacos from a Taco Bell drive-thru. Because TikTok is full of people that love tacos and disastrous first-date tales, Elyse’s fame skyrocketed overnight. But before she turned into an influencer and comedian, Elyse was a mom living in Omaha.

In telling a story about what she coined her “classic Elyse double roll” with her sweatshirt sleeves, “It was like my current self and my past self shook hands and met in that very moment … It meant so much to me that my brain recognized me in that memory.”

Elyse and Jonas frequently share pictures and videos with their kids, although they protect their kids’ identities by covering their faces in photos for safety reasons. August enjoys playing with instruments and dancing, and he’s clearly a great big brother. Elyse gave birth to her second son, Oliver, on Sept. 14, 2023.

Being a parent is really scary, and while it seems like Elyse handles it with grace and humor, her family is going through a lot with Oliver’s heart condition.

In an emotional video, Elyse shared with her followers: "My son went into his 4-month checkup, only a routine new child checkup. The physician heard a little bit of a center murmur and stated, 'You know, it is almost certainly nothing. We'll simply ship you to cardiology so that he can get slightly echocardiogram and confirm that it is simply an blameless murmur and he's going to develop out of it.'"

However, the technician found hole in Oliver’s heart, where the bottom two chambers of his heart don’t connect. Elyse was later informed by a physician that "on a scale from tiny to huge, the outlet is big.”

Elyse and Jonas had no idea that Oliver has a ventricular septal defect (VSD), which will also be fatal if big enough. Doctors instructed Elyse to convey him again in to get a center catheter, which she said was "a pretty extensive procedure, but you're in and out on the same day which is shocking."

She continued, "And so Oliver is going to have heart surgery within the next couple of weeks. And the doctors are really confident that after the surgery, he will recover and grow right on track. They seem to think that this will not affect him in life later after this is all fixed up."
