Netflix Show Dedicated to Late Stuntman

Who is Brian Nickels, and why was once 'Bridgerton' dedicated to him?

Brian “Sonny” Nickels was once a stunt coordinator who was once a popular figure at the set of the length piece: Many of the Bridgerton solid and staff individuals have paid tribute to him lately.

The stunt megastar died all of sudden in January 2020 following a cardiac arrest at his house in London, England. He is survived through his wife, Simone, and his two small children, Sienna and Rocco.

The former professional boxer was once also a stunt performer on The Bourne Ultimatum and Jason Bourne, and Matt Damon gave him a shout-out in a behind-the-scenes featurette for the latter film.

“I rarely get hit, but I’m all the time by accident hitting anyone,” the actor mentioned. “My care for these guys is that I at all times purchase them a bottle of champagne for any time I’ve hit them. So, Brian, for example, got a case of champagne on the end of the struggle.”

The ‘Bridgerton’ group has sung Brian’s praises.

Martins Imhangbe, who performs Will Monarch on Bridgerton, eulogized Brian on Instagram after the stunt coordinator’s death.

Stuntman Sofian Francis also spoke highly of Brian on Instagram, posting pictures of himself and Brian working on Bridgerton.

“I used to be lucky enough to spend a large number of time with our late, great good friend @brian.sonny.nickels in this shoot,” Sofian wrote. “Brian used to be so enthusiastic on this set and put the entirety into it. He used to be always the biggest personality in the room, and I’m so satisfied I were given to do that with him.”
