Joe's sister, Martha Muchlinski, took to TikTok to break the news. In a video posted the same day as VonViddy's death, Martha confirmed that "He did lose his long fight with psychological illness, and he did take his personal lifestyles." She continued by saying, "TikTok supposed so much to him, it gave him joy, it gave him something to snort at and to make other folks snort at and he in reality preferred that." Martha ended the video and said that she's "hoping that he's at peace."

Martha captioned the video, "Joe used to be my first phrase. He used to be my older brother, my most effective sibling, and this is among the worst days of my lifestyles. I know folks had been concerned since his (VonViddy's) ultimate video and deserve some closure."
