The Philadelphia native and Today co-host has been married to Uche Ojeh since 2007. Uche works as a consultant in New York City. The two both attended Northwestern University, but they in truth met when Sheinelle used to be a freshman at the faculty, and Uche was still a highschool student.

In 2016, a polyp was discovered on Sheinelle's throat after a Today manufacturer inspired her to see a doctor. She had been clearing her throat regularly sooner than each Weekend Today segment.

Though the polyp has long been long past, Sheinelle said her subsequent problems with her voice had been affecting her life in some ways. 

For something, she's neglected out on many events because she did not wish to overextend her voice. She also could not drink celebratory champagne with her pals (or pass to brunch) as a result of the bubbles exacerbated her voice problems. 

While Sheinelle is hopeful about taking the time to re-charge, she could be reasonably eager about getting a bit of a spoil from her traumatic family. She also stated on Today that she'll be spending some time out of doors of her circle of relatives's house, since her youngsters aren't precisely figuring out that she will not be able to speak.
