A woman grabbed the mic clear of an administrator on commencement day — this is why.

In a viral video, Kadia was once excited by an intense tussle with a college worker. Things went left when it was once Kadia’s turn to take the mic and state her title and main. Unfortunately, her introduction used to be minimize quick through an administrator, who Kadia mentioned snatched the mic away from her, first.

“You didn’t let me get my second,” Kadia explained ahead of she dramatically dropped the mic. “I don’t like the way you snatched the mic out of my hand, so today is going to be all about me.”

Later, Kadia took to TikTok to detail what took place before the digital camera began rolling. According to her, she was simply as stunned as we have been via the series of events that sparked the altercation.

What you won't know is, the video has a deeper meaning than what meets the eye. In a TikTok video that was once posted initially went down, Kadia expressed how glad she used to be to get some extent regardless of no person showing as much as fortify her. Per her social media, Kadia’s mom died previous in her life.

So, let’s put ourselves in Kadia’s shoes for a second. It’s arduous enough for a young, Black woman to seek out her voice at a predominately white institution (PWI) — especially with no fortify machine.

Now, after you’ve dedicated the remaining several years to this second, you’re robbed by means of a white woman in a stole. While some argue that Kadia can have handled the situation extra gracefully, I, then again, don't.

Who is aware of what trials and tribulations Kadia had to go through to walk around the stage — or, in her case, the garden — and there's no quantity of respectability politics that can take that clear of her.
